Dr. Robert Beer, MD
Director of Balfour Dermatology & Day Spa, Inc. A skin cancer specialist and Mohs surgeon, Dr. Beer completed medical school with training in Internal Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and performed his dermatology training at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. He subsequently completed his Mohs and Laser Fellowship in Kansas City, Missouri.
Dr. Beer is a Fellow and Associate of the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology and the American Academy of Dermatology. He is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology.
Holly Penniman, PA-C
Physician Assistant, graduated from the Stanford University School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program. She became Board Certified as a Physician Assistant in 2000.
Holly Penniman initially worked with Dr. Stephen Prystowsky from 1997 to 2000 where she gained dermatology experience. She joined Balfour Dermatology as an Associate in Dermatology in 2001.
She is a member of the National Commission of the Certification of Physician Assistants, American Academy of Physician Assistants and the California Academy of Physician Assistants.
Christine Connor, FNP/PA-C
Graduated from University of California Davis School of Medicine, Family Nurse Practitioner-Physician Assistant program in 2004. Chrisitie has been board certified since 2004. She graduated as a Registered Nurse from College of Sequoias in 1986.
She worked from 1986 until 2004 in Emergency medicine as a Board Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) specializing in Pre-Hospital Trauma Care. She was a Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN) and also a Sexual Assault Forensic Nurse Examiner for adults and pediatrics.
She joined Balfour Dermatology & Day Spa Inc. as an Associate in Dermatology in 2004. Christine is an active member of the California Academy of Physician Assistants, California Academy of Nurse Practitioners and National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Terri Marlett, RN
Registered Nurse since 1989 received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1990 from Samuel Merritt St. Mary’s intercollegiate nursing program.
Terri has an extensive background in catastrophic wound care. She has worked in ICU and was a Charge Nurse on a respiratory unit that specialized in weaning ventilator patients.
She joined Balfour Dermatology & Day Spa Inc. in 2003. She has extended education with lasers and treats patients with several different types, including wound care, laser hair reduction, IPL photo facials and much more. Terri also assists with Mohs surgery and general dermatology.
Christine Milam, RN
Registered Nurse received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University Hayward in 1996.
Chris began her nursing career at Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford. She worked primarily on a Med-Surgical unit specializing in the treatment of Cystic Fibrosis and infectious diseases. She worked as a shift charge nurse and liaison between House Staff and Nurses.
Chris joined Balfour Dermatology & Day Spa Inc. in 2005. She enjoys the blend of medical and aesthetic procedures performed in our office. Chris specializes in laser treatments for various skin conditions and cosmetic procedures.
Denise Garcia, Esthetician
Esthetician and Certified Massage Therapist received her Esthetician’s License in 1994. She has worked in many facets of the beauty industry including sales, management, spa settings and education.
Denise has had extensive extended education in the treatment of acne and various skin conditions. Various treatments include microdermabrasion and chemical peels.
Denise joined Balfour Dermatology & Day Spa, Inc. as a full time Esthetician in 2005.
Francesca Grillo, Treatment Coordinator
Licensed Esthetician and Treatment Coordinator received her Esthetician license in 2007. She works daily with the Registered Nurses performing cosmetic treatments. In addition, she has her own skincare patients that she treats for various skin conditions.
Advanced education and training has kept her up to date with upcoming procedures. As a Treatment Coordinator she establishes organization between patients and their various treatments among all providers.
